As a martial art originally invented by a woman for a woman, Ving Tsun is uniquely suited to women’s self-defense and martial arts training. Ving Tsun is a system created for all body types, regardless of stature or physical fitness. The classes are exclusively geared towards learning kung fu for the purposes of effective self-defense and fighting ability.
The purpose of the Women’s Training Program in this school is to create a safe, understanding, invigorating environment for women to train with their peers. We recognize that there are many reasons why women might not want to train in a co-ed environment, among which are distractions, intimidation, and different perceptions of competition. By training exclusively with women for at least the first year of the program, practitioners can develop a sense of their own power in a safe environment.
Ving Tsun Kung Fu is a fighting martial art that provides agility, muscle strength, honed reflexes, and increased relaxation in daily life. There are no belts, ranks or extra fees for tests. Ving Tsun workouts include all muscle groups, cardio and calisthenics.
